Could be an instrument that unlocks a new song(like how Twilight Cloak unlocks Impact) that does something awesome, like a 3min recast song that gives a 15TP/tick plague, or increases damage taken from all sources(reverse DT%) or something that gradually boosts all stats on a single character for its duration(instead of decaying, it gets better). Could call it Hero's Rime like the ultimate song from FF5.

I apologize if I sound offensive, but I'm really having troubles understanding it.

SE introduces Delve weapons and players (rightfully) complain because they outshine RMEs, and it wasn't just a matter of getting outshined, but about how huge this difference was.

SE doesn't reserve the same treatment for a couple of things (Shields and Instruments) and what happens? People complain because there are no Delve instruments.

I mean... I think either I'm missing something or people just like to complain no matter what.

I think its because of one simple fact, which most will disagree with Im sure, but its possibly true. I would never make my WAR an Emp or Relic, but I would get it a Delve weapon, I would never make a Ragnarok, but I would surly go get a Bereaver. Why? Insanely strong weapons, very little effort by compare. When you look at Shields, there are no shields which stand up to an Aegis or Ochain, not even close, so PLDs without them would have liked something easier to obtain which is similar in power, or at least, not completely dwarfed by them. BRDs without GHorn or Emp Harp probably feel the same way, they have all these instruments, many of which are as strong as a level 95 Relic so far as I know in effect, but it sucks having to carry around 10 instruments just for that, many would love a Delve one with all songs +3 to cut down on it.

When you look at it from another stand point, at least so far as Instruments go alone, its the only thing without a Delve item. Delve weapons, Delve gear for each 3 kinds of sets, Delve Earrings, Rings, Waists, Mantles, Grips, Necks, even an Animator and Shield, but out of all of the item types so far as gear goes, no instrument. They are even making ammo for weapons which will be bought with Plasm they said, Bullets and Arrows bought with Plasm, we already have at least 1 Tathlum, not sure about a throwing item but in the end, Instruments are about all that is missing.

Speaking from the point of view of an owner of both Gjallarhorn and Daurdabla (altough I don't have level 99 for any of those, since I'm a noob) I'd dare to say that it's the Harp that makes the big difference.
Gjallarhorn is cool but it's an inventory saver, with the level 99 version creating slightly more powerful songs and giving more chances to stick debuffs.
But still, it's mainly a matter of inventory saving.

Daurdabla is the true job-changer thing.
If you look at requirements, they ask for "3-4 songs BRD" not for "Relic/Empy BRDs". While Gjallarhorn is cool, nobody really cares that much wether you have it or not, Harp is the real thing for BRDs.

A Delve instrument with +3 songs or whatever else bonus, won't change anything. The only thing that would change something is another instrument with the same bonuses as Daurdabla, and we all know it's not going to happen.

Never said it would change things, its just the fact everyone else got a cool new toy, and yet, Instruments did not, be it that non-RE BRDs wanted a new one to have that did not require RE, or the fact its just a weird thing that got left out, either way.

I see your point, I understand where it comes from and I wouldn't dare to say you're wrong.
But I would agree with it even more if this was like 2006 or 2007 or something.

These days you can hardly find people with only one job. Sure, you may not get a little new toy for your BRD (which, for instance, it's my favourite job), but I'm sure you'll get a lot of new interesting toys for your other jobs.

As Matsui himself said more than once already, we can't go on anymore under the assumption that every job can be considered the same in every possible circumstance.
The consequence of this is that you can't really focus too much hypothizing that people may only have a single levelled job because that's a very very small minority.

I do agree it's a bit weird, but we know BRDs will get some love with the next patches (a new powerful song has been mentioned, which will be as difficult to get as Meteor/Arise)

G Horn is not just inv saver and M. Acc, it's also a massive bonus to ballad. Anything with 'all songs +3' or more would be too much, for this reason alone.

I'm all for an inv space saver, but I'd settle for perhaps ballad +1, minuet +3 and requiem +4. It's still inv +2, but by no means OP.

Stick haste, or a melee stat on it as well, so that it has some use to a G Horn owner and makes it special in a way.

Edit: In fact, it wouldn't need a melee stat on it, as it would be augmentable:

    A) M. Acc path.
    B) Acc Path
    C) Att path

no, your last sentence clause summed it up pretty well. This game is played by Walter and Wendy Whiner of 2nd Gen SNL fame.
