    ...What?
I think its because of SE only redirecting us to community sites for information. SE relies on those sites for other players to get any information, so a problem with that site can be impeding a players experience, and thus, it is partly their problem, especially since they treat everything super secret and force us to use these sites for any information rather than providing us an official source.

There is simply not enough job diversity to force players to go back to six person parties. Currently on Carbuncle most of the spots you're complaining about are nearly empty. 6 people in Gusgen. 8 people in Bos{tab}. 2 people looking for group on the entire server. Almost no support jobs in there at all. You can make 2 six person groups, and then have the rest sit on their asses due to lack of healers. That doesn't sound fun at all.

The current system is a band-aid, but at least it lets players participate when populations are this low.

Forcing people back to six man parties will not bring flocks of people back to levelling, it will do just the opposite. A lot of people are levelling their x-th job just because they can. Make them jump through hoops and they'll just say screw it and do something else.

Except that you don't frickin' need healers for easy prey targets- but you do need to spread out more.

Oh, my goodness. Players using more than three zones to level. WHAT WOULD WE DO.

You don't even need to go to 6-man parties, you simply need to get to the point where gear is no longer a useless thing to get it back into the AH and people playing.

Gusgen @10 or so for alliances? No. Dangruf Wadi instead, doable solo to 6-mans to 24. CN? Delfkutt Gigas will take you all the way up to 49th instead, and the Necropolis is the big boy bones version of Gusgen- again, doable with a party vs. an alliance.

People mindlessly leveling alliance-style doesn't do much for the game. It's sitting there running from mob to mob while everyone beats on it- and if there's not enough people in said crappy gear to do anything? Nobody's doing anything there.

I watched my LS bitch and moan about how nobody was killing leeches all day in the Oubliette while I was cheerfully dinging 64 off of page after page of mummies and liches in the Necropolis. There's tons of places like this scattered around Vana'diel, sitting unused because of alliance-style exp. Nobody uses LFG because face it, they're used to walking into the zone, shouting {Experience Points} {Alliance} , {Can I have it?} and getting dropped in- or AFKing in leech mode in Abyssea anyway, with much the same effort and results.

The only difference if I'd had two, three, more people is I'd have been killing them faster. Fact is, I'll have to look and see if anyone's in my level range so I can invite them along, I could easily keep the entire group alive with THF/DNC. It's EP's, after all. Edit: And I actually have solid gear for my level.

It's not even gear that is lacking on gamer escape's wiki. It's most items on there that are missing most of their info in the current version of the wiki. It's why I use BG's wiki and gamer escape's because if you can't find the info you want on one then the other normally has the answer.

It doesn't exactly help the situation that S-E is ensuring there is nothing to do at low levels. For example, right off the bat, anything that continues to have a level cap is literally not worth doing. High-level players aren't interested in helping someone with, say, a level 40 BCNM, because they already know that it's nothing more than an experience in self eye-gouging.

And a lack of desire for buying low-level equipment would only explain that gear selling for low prices, not why said gear isn't being synthed outright. The aforementioned Leathercraft Guild Salesroom isn't awash with Rabbit Mantles that players can't even give away (and not just because someone in San d'Oria has no idea what Grass Thread is, even if they can get an NPC to randomly explain the Rabbit Mantle recipe to begin with). You can't help but not get EXP in this game, but critical, game-breaking secrets like "What's a sickle for?" are duly hidden from all but the most prying eyes, at least unless you just happen to be in a relevant area and just happen to target an inconspicuous and literally nondescript Harvesting Point.

Grounds Tomes at least show up on radar.
