Continuing FFXI Monthly Fee Discount

I have started this thread as a request to continue the discount to the Final Fantasy XI monthly fee when also subscribed to Final Fantasy XIV. I am considering going back to XI and that would solidify my decision. My other suggestion is that if a continued discount is not feasible, offer a free month of play for new or returning XI players who also bought XIV. I have hope for XIV, but currently there isn't a lot to do so I want something to enjoy while the XIV updates continue to progress. If you agree or have further suggestions, please post them in this thread.

I think Final Fantasy XI Subscription fees should be cut in half cause we're only paying for Updates and add-ons, Once SE drops PS2 (Outdated console) and the limitations with it, fees then should go back to normal. Having FFXIV and FFXI shouldn't be the only way to get a discount. Maybe give back to the players that been playing a very long time, Every 2 years take 2$ off the Subscription fee, until it hits 5.99 a month.

FFXI subs pay for FFXIV to be run for free, they won't lower the subscription fee cause most of us are too stupid to take action if they don't. I cut my monthly FFXI costs from nearly £50 to £18 by canceling alts/family accounts etc so i'm happy to be giving them less money to waste on FFXIV at least.

I paid $75 for the collector's edition of a game that wasn't even complete enough to be considered an open beta and have provided testing and feedback for them for months now. I'd say that is a pretty good reason to give a discount, especially considering if I want to get anything done in XI I'll need to spend $30 on Abyssea.

Wholeheartedly agree with sentiments on the first page.

If SE is going to continue to support obsolete hardware (PS2) that bottlenecks performance, inhibits innovation and dooms us to a mediocre gaming experience, we should have our monthly fee cut in half. Or, conversely, double the price of PS2 users. Make it cheaper for the cheap ba^&$#!s to upgrade to a 360 or a PC.
