Well, some of the people I was with couldn't follow directions very well which made the whole ordeal that much more of a pain. Not SE's fault in that regard, but it's still a very unpleasent memory (It seriously took upwards to an hour or more to get everyone to the enigmatic device finally). Plus, we didn't know tractor didn't unnecessarily work during in a reive, so we had to have people home point after dying to run back and try the "run in and out" method. It was more than a little trouble, heh.
Even so, there's still plenty of people who haven't been there yet, either because they just got the expansion recently or they weren't aware of the Enigmatic Devices when people were doing reives. In either case, since MMO designs usually take into account the long term given their (hopefully) long life, this problem seems to be a bit short sighted on SE's part. I'm sure SE would like FF11 to be around years from now, so it should've been obvious that stuff like this would happen down the road (Although I think SE didn't think it'd happen quite so soon). It's still bad design for the long term.
But to be fair, I believe they have said they're making reives lowmannable so maybe this won't be a problem soon. I just feel it never should have been a problem in the first place.
