Names were all in Dialogue, they removed it from some but it remained and we saw it for all 7(8?) Nakuuls. The first 3 didnt change, who knows if these ones will.

actually Quetzalcoatl would be a bad name for a bird considering he was a plumed serpent (think a giant snake with bird wings) i have no idea what south American tribes had as names going for thunder birds bunch of names for them in north America tho >.> (animikii, Kw-Uhnx-Wa, Wakį́yą)

In FFVIII it looked more like a bird than a reptile, IMO.

While Quetz has plumage, the body texture looks like that of a snake's skin. It could just be a clever fusion between the two aspects of his design.
