    Enfeebling Magic (Completely Resisted)

Why can't the entire game allow enfeebling Magic to actually work like it does now in Adoulin content?

Tired of finding out that many and sometimes most of the spells are completely resisted not making it hard to play the job but forcing us mages to play only certain limited aspects of the job. This is why us mages are restricted to "only" being the heal slave or the nuker.

Sad that redmage Gravity II is useless in big events and this is one of the reasons why you almost never see redmage invited. Why invite a job that doesn't work when other jobs do better? Not like Refresh II is ever needed when Cor or Bard can give refresh too plus provide support buffs to DD and most heavy healing jobs sub SCH for Sublimation anyways. Nukers usually sub RDM for convert and refresh. So what's the purpose of having a Redmage in party? I know this topic has been brought up several times but seriously, give us back our swag =p

It's disappointing to waste so much time capping Enfeebling magic, getting all the AF and buying all the gear only to be "completely resisted"

If thats the case id like to see bard spells, weapon skills, job abilities be " completely resisted" so the player base can feel what it's like to waste their time playing a good job that has been gimped by the devs.

You give us spells and allow us to earn our power by leveling, skilling up and gear but then prevent us from using that power? Then what's the point?

Gravity and Gravity II has been sitting in my spell list untouched for the longest until Adoulin came out. It actually feels good being able to use the spell now.

Agreed, I do not think any of the Delve NMs are even Immune to an Enfeeble, so far as I have seen they are all susceptible to everything at least somewhat, they may be highly resistant but it is possible to land it if you have high enough Magic Acc. It would be nice to see the rest of the game the same way in that respect, so that it is not impossible to stick any enfeeble, but it is highly unlikely without a ton of Magic Accuracy to get the job done.

Enfeebling being near-useless on most of the mobs in nearly all of Abyssea + VW's era including any other "hard" content where it was difficult/literally impossible to land) was a huge flaw in the design of that era.

It's fine for one or two fights to change things up, I know you're not saying otherwise. "Hmm, we can't enfeeble this at all" or "Hmm, this can't be tanked" (and there are ways to design fights so that things can't be tanked without enmity being broken but that's way off topic).

And yeah, completely agree. SE offended a lot of people with some of their insulting decisions, and we can joke about how people always come back to this game, but a lot of people did not.

I remember when red mages were proud of their enfeebling kits, whm's proud of their cure kits (now they're so easy to put together...), etc etc.

Red mage isn't the only job that got the shaft for a great period of time. I can count on one fist (exactly) how many ninjas I've seen in adoulin content. I've seen only one more blm than that, besides blm burning kurma.

Now, Adoulin has just started ("great period" doesn't qualify to those two jobs yet, but pld, bst, pup all felt kinda useless for varying lengths of time depending on the job) so there's no telling where it will go with that, but for now, blm's and nin are left out in the cold. Most of the blms on the server, like most the ninjas and bsts, and whm's only happened because it was so useful in abyssea but there surely are many people who played ninja only because it was the most fun they had in the game. I've a friend that was obsessed with solid nuke kits when it didn't matter a lot of the time, but it was his char and it was cool to see that dedication.
