    JA stances: More of them

Question: Would it be too overpowering for certain jobs like DRG, BLU, RDM (even), SMN, etc. to receive JA stances similar to those of SAM, NIN, WAR, etc. to ride on depending the situation?

For example: BLU would have two stances, one physical and one magical. The stances would do something like raise attack, physical magic attack & acc up but lower magical dmg. The other would do the opposite. RDMs JA would be similar to this but no physical spell dmg affected.

I also know DRGs complain a lot about not having a stance like the other melee jobs, and I concur they need something beneficial to help improve their dmg.

    Poor SMNs need a miracle...

    Any thoughts?

A perfect example of stances not fixing anything is Ninja. Anybody who has mathed out the jobs knows that Ninja is quite possibly the worst melee job in the game. It can't keep up with other one-handers or magic-casting jobs DPS-wise even with Innin active, and at best it will tank about as well as any hybrid-geared heavy melee (WAR, DRK etc). The problem with stances is that they assume that by adding them, they will put a band-aid on job imbalances by allowing you to adjust the situation at hand, but they don't seem to know how powerful one stance is from another. Sabre Dance, for example, is possibly the most powerful DPS JA in the game (Outside of Last Resort), and they put it onto a job that was already better than Ninja at doing damage to begin with.

Then there's jobs like BLU are already very powerful without the use of stances. (One might argue that your spell set is your "stance", so to speak)

Instead of adding stances haphazardly they should examine the jobs and figure out what is causing the major imbalance between them, and add more abilities that offer unique effects. EX: The only reason people ever use Ninja anymore is if they need Migawari in one way or another.
