Lesser Chigoes

Please provide another means to obtain this item for Dipper Yuley. It is an item used in a very important jug pet synth, yet to obtain them, you must have a high lvl thf to steal them, or pay an very large amount of gil for them on the AH.

Please provide a decent way for BSTs to farm these on BST, and not have to lvl THF.

Perhaps, but it's the cheapest way I know, and more reliable than getting a THF to steal 'em.

I haven't had to compete with a single person since Aby came out for the chigoes. Only time I've seen ppl out there was for magian trials, but maybe that's just Shiva. GL

I agree I never see anyone else harvesting them from here either, if you go make sure you take 4/4 HELM gear this greatly increases your chances of getting more items from the same ???, my record is 15 items from the same ??? (2 stacks of chigoes in 1 hour)
as regards to AH prices 99% of the time I have always made my own Jugs, from day 1 I leveled a cooking mule just for all my BST needs, its saved me a fourtune and I never run out of the things I need Jugs/pet food/food, nothing gives me more pleasure then to go out farming for

all at the same time

No one was selling any chigoes on my server for a while so I tried out harvesting some in Grauberg, and I'm not sure how anyone could get more than a stack in an hour unless they were fairly lucky. (and this was me being the only person harvesting in the zone)

So the drop rate really isn't that cool.

I just buy them off the AH when I see them. My trick is to use Synergy instead of cooking to synth them though. You get much better value out of your synths with the HQ's you can get, plus the NQ synth gives you 6 not 4 jugs.

I use synergy too, though I never seem to HQ. Ah, well!

I don't harvest them(though I should), but I do have my own way of getting them. I just leave Nashmau for the nearby Karakuls as BST/THF.

1. Try to steal
2. If I steal a chigoe, I kill the Karakul.
3. If not, I charm the Karakul and take it into the tunnel to wait on Steal's cooldown.
4. When it's up, release the Karakul.
5. Immediately use Steal again before it depops, loop back to 2.

Unfortunately you can't just steal successfully/charm/release/depop the sheep, since the "item has been stolen" flag persists on those kinds of despawns. I suppose there isn't a huge reason to not kill them after a failed attempt, but I usually don't feel like bothering with it.
