    RMT Resurgence

I'd like to call attention to the sudden resurgence of RMTs, particularly on the Carbuncle server...

Look no further than the Meteor scrolls on the AH for all of the names you need to investigate. This item's price went up 500% in a matter of days while the number sold per day went up 300-400% simultaneously. Meanwhile, none of the other servers experienced these increases. The current price for Meteor on Carbuncle is 6-8mil while it remains at around 1.5mil on every other server. I have played on this server for around 10 years and never heard of any of these players, and their AH history is sketchy.

Arise is also a recurring factor, although if there is price fixing going on with Arise scrolls it's across all of the servers...

The following are some examples of the suspicious transactions:

The following data sets are for scrolls of Meteor on Carbuncle:

Please join me in reporting these players and calling as much attention to them as necessary for price fixing and possible RMT activities... I'm so sick of these people. I've already started getting tells again from advertising bots.

Take away their Blinkers, they do more cleaves, take away their cleaves, they do Dyna, make currency crash with new god powered weapons... this happens...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this isn't RMT, this is just stupidity and laziness.

The people on carbuncle, and probably other servers as well, believe the only way (justifiably) to beat field delve nms, is with meteor.

So, everyone is clambering to buy it, so they can get the ONE win they need, so they don't miss the ONE opportunity to obtain the win.

I've watched the JP get decimated by tier 3 scorpion, and resort to spamming meteor. they all went out and bought it, at the inflated price, on may 1st.

Yes, I'm going to ruin it for you all. They had the scorpion at 50% and could no longer damage it, so they had 6 blms cast meteor, home point, change jobs to reset elemental seal, used the rune to come back outside and repeat the process, for about 2 hours. doing 2% damage each time.

This is the only way to beat these NMs(not tier 1 and 2)(tier 3 4 5), and people are willing to pay through the nose to beat the content before it stops being done.

I went with a shout group today, we killed a Raptor with 18 and we got the Butterflies to 58% before timing out with only 12 people, no real buff jobs included, the highest DPS of any DD was a Rag DRK with 9.82DPS at the end. A proper setup is all that is needed, for now we simply lack enough knowledge about each NM to formulate a plan I think, for instance we need a lot of accuracy for the Butterfly it seems, the Raptor we took down easily with a lot of DDs, 3 WHMs, proper buffers, and a PLD who held hate most of the time.

These NMs are very much beatable, just not as easily as we are used to.

Is that why they're buying multiple scrolls for millions of gil more a few days later, and selling them back at more than double the price they just paid for it..? I'm willing to bet if someone were to look into these transactions over the past week the vast majority of them are performed on the same accounts with alts and/or the buyers are directly affiliated with the sellers...

Not the tier 1 and 2 mobs, raptor is a t2. Try a tier 3 4 or 5. I've done the raptor as well, and the butterfly. with no meteor.

I would love nothing more than to watch 18 people attempt to kill the Transcendent Scorpion (in the field) without meteor. It's probably doable, but the group I watched sure had no chance in hell at it. They weren't exactly the best, but certainly above average.

    Or for that matter, Tax'et.

I went with a pick-up group yesterday that killed Tax'et inside in about 20 minutes. All these new Delve NMs have tricks and in less than one week a lot of them have already been figured out. Do some research, join a group that is no more than half mouth breathing idiots and you too can gain access to all the new gear. I know it's been a while but these fights require some sort of strategy and a group that's buffed appropriately and prepared for the task ahead.

My guess is that within the next 2 weeks all the NMs will have been figured out, people will start augmenting all the spiffy new gear they get, and the elite endgame LSs that have survived this long (or are starting to form again). will be tackling and defeating the zone bosses inside on a regular basis. It won't take long after that until that gear and those strategies become available to, shall we say, "lower tier" players (and I am one of them) and those of us with a sense of perspective look back at all this crying about how hard the NMs are and laugh (I'm already laughing).

Remember, less than one week and we are already taking out all but the toughest of the new monsters. The ball is rolling.

Looks like the first delve boss went down earlier tonight. I was off by one day.

Do T1~2s, get gear, do higher tiers. Its obvious they expect us to progress over time climbing a proverbial latter, not simply be able to hit T4~5 from the get go.
