Reive, PLD no TP gain from blocking

Ok, I waited several days to post this, now I am certain.

At first, I considered the possiblitly that I didn't get tp because the mobs died at the end of a revive and I thought maybe the lag was affecting things. This was not the case.

Basically, sometimes in reive I notice that I don't get tp from blocking mobs on Pld with Ochain and phalanx up. I usually take zero damage, and sometimes if I take zero damage, I won't get any tp back from blocking. I'n using creed gauntlets +2.

What will happen is I'll super tank the adds, either in a group for colonization reive or solo a liar reive. Solo is were I verified the condition.

As a Pld, supertanking, you notice the tp gain. I can almost self skill chain in a lair reive solo in my tanking set, thats how much tp a PLD gets from supertanking (in dyna I do self skill chain on pld/dnc). The point being, it's obvious when your not getting tp from mobs if you block and take zero damage. It's not something you'd miss.

I just soloed a lair reive in Yahse, had bees and mantis tping on me while I tp'd on the nest, finished around 6:40am today, my time (EST). About 1/3 of the way thru the nest's health, I stopped recieving tp from blocking the adds because I recieved zero damage the whole time. Now I was taking zero damage before, and for the most part of the fight. I don't know what causes it, I just know it's happened on many occasions, and now I'm certain it's not my imagination.

After I stopped recieving tp from the adds that were hitting me, eventually phalanx wore and I took some damage. As soon as phalanx wore and I recieved damage, my tp returned to normal, I started recieving tp from blocking, and I didn't have another problem for the rest of the fight. I finished/cleared it.

It encourages you to explore the whole breadth of content rather than asking you to bumrush and bypass all the old content just so you can grind the newer content. This is a model used by other MMOs such as WoW, and while I don't have anything against people that enjoy this model, if I wanted to play an MMO with that model there are many, many games vast superior to XI in terms of mechanics and especially customer service that offer such a model.
