the good rewards of soul pyre are sqirmish parts (worth several million gils on the AH). You can't say they reward are crap lol.

I'd also like to bring up that apparently only 6 Pyre can be up at any given time, and they seem to have a "Respawn" timer, Similar to How Abyssea Chests were...

You probably should stop taking for garaanted what people write on the internet. I farmed sqirmish parts in cirdas cavern during JP prime time on a Sunday (30 people in the zone, 3-4 pt farming). We were getting 3-4 soul pyre every 5 minutes, so basically 1 pyre every 4 mob. Ended up getting 3 parts in 2 hours.

I'm sorry but I have to ask. I fail at these soul pyres so does anyone know of a good method of grabbing the item from such?

use soul spectacles from the mummer coalition. They are free guesses that you can use indefinately. You are garranted to succeed opening the pyre, but I have to use ~10 spectacles each time. Spectacles are from mummer's minigames rewards, relatively easy to get. Dont go out farming w/o a stack of those.
