    You should be able to get floor 100 most of the time with a proper setup. Don't know what your bringing now, but it must not be working. So far my group has done 2 WARs, a MNK and a SAM or DRK for DDs. Then we have a SCH/RDM to run after them giving Phalanx and Regen V. Last and most important is BRD/SMN. Whenever they can the BRD should pop Troubadour/Nightingale double Marches and summon Garuda for Hastega. Chocobo Mazurak everyone on lamp floors.

    With this setup it's a pretty easy win. I even managed to hit floor 100 with a gimp SCH and a THF without an Empyrian or Relic as a DD. The triple haste you get from the BRD should keep you alive as things will die so fast you'll barely take damage. I'd say this setup is even better than back when you had SCHs use Embrava.

    I didn't read all these but a few are saying that its very hard to get to 80 now yes it is, But you have to play with different job combos and you can still win. My group we were doing x5 fl80 and winning almost every run we had some nights crappy jumps then the nerf came and it screwed us bad not a single win. We tried 4DDs SCH BRD tried 4DD SCH COR and still lost so we tried x5 DD x1SCH lil rough at start but we got closer to 80 than with the other to set ups That was our last tag and we did all those combos in one night. So last Sat came did the same set up x5DD x1SCH got to floor 80 3xs won about 3-5mins to kill on each. We had WAR MNK PUP WAR MNK SCH and yes lolpup but the lil bastard helps at times. SCH needs to keep Regen V up with acc+perp at all times haste whoever they can and I try to put enfire and firestorm up on every other jump.
    Sorry for the dragged out story... I think the extra DD makes up for the loss of buffs from a cor or brd.

    Did your bard try to stack Paeon? That's a mistake my party did at the beginning, we thought regen was the way to go. What we do now gets us floor 100 wins. Bard casts double marches with troubadour and nightingale and casts hastega with Garuda. The haste gets capped on the DDs and they kill so fast they barely take any damage. All your scholar needs to do is keep phalanx and regen 5 up and you're set. The only way you will lose is if you get really, really, really, really, really, really bad floor jumps.

    The content itself is not hard, however the floor jumps that is where the trouble is at, just now we were at floor 77 and it was a free floor, good we thought.... obviously thought wrong, cause we got warped to 79, and timed out frankly, everytime we done it, probally just horrible luck cause our floor jumps really range from 2-5 standard, with occasionally a 10 floor jump, sure it is somewhat luck based, but they can just make is so that if you pick:

    Floor: 100 you jump 10 floors.
    Floor: 080 you jump 08 floors.
    Floor: 060 you jump 06 floors.
    Floor: 040 you jump 04 floors.
    Floor: 020 you jump 02 floors.

    In the old version you can climb 10 floors with 3 people now a day.. they can do that for NNI aswell... would it make NNI to easy... not sure, as they have some NM's in there that take some time, aswell as some big ass floors that take you minutes to walk just to find 1 single enemy for a complete all/single enemy floor, cause atm having to do 16 floors requires you to clear them in under 2 minutes each is just crazy.

    A good white mage or red mage can do the job as well. More so the red mage probably with phalanx 2. White mage would have more trouble keeping up with everyone especially if your group likes to split up. Scholar is just the easiest with AoE Phalanx and Regen V which is all anyone will need in your party apart from Shell and Protect.
