why are we casting for FF7 movie when we should be casting for FFXI movie?

Final Fantasy 11 is a great game, the best MMO on the market today in my opinion. But that's primarily due to the gameplay if you ask me. It's plot - while not bad, isn't exactly stellar either - and would be very difficult to make into a movie. But, if such a thing would be attempted, I would suggest focusing on the shadow lord as the main villain. He is by far the coolest bad guy on the game.

Oh, no don't get me wrong I'm a fan of American movies, being that I'm from America: Scorsese, Coppola, Coen brothers, 2 of the 4 listed aren't from America. Or I could be wrong they could all be born in America, not really looking up wiki.

Ok I apologize then that i misunderstood you.

But the point i was trying to make is what makes the american film industry so good is we recruit the best talent globally and give them the full appreciatiation they deserve. We don't get bogged down in nationalities. Just the amount of actors and actresses we have employed from england alone is countless for example.

It's that really huge black guy who played in Armegeddon. I think his nickname was "bear" on the movie. Appropriate also. He is probably bigger than the actual galka who is Zied lol

He also played on the Green Mile with Tom Hanks (a crappy movie). He's a decent actor and probably could play a good Zeid. He also played on that Scorpion King movie with "the rock". He was the only character on that movie I didn't wanna strangle.

I don't think FFXI's story is well known or admired enough to be fiscally viable. However, one day we will lose the ability to revisit FFXI's story, and FFXIV's story. Any of the other games I am able to revisit, but one day the server's will go down, and the land of vana'diel will be silenced forever.

I wouldn't mind them conserving the cutscenes, so that those wishing to revisit the storyline are able to do so.

An interesting plot in a video game is very different from an interesting plot in a movie. Honestly, I don't think that it would be possible to fit the Crystal War plot into two hours, too much interesting stuff that they would have to cover between what was going on in the nations and the northlands.

But it would be amazing to see Fenrir summoned on the big screen...

Doesn't matter if it's well known or not. If it was a good movie people would watch it I think.

But like I said in an earlier post, Final Fantasy's 11 plot would be very difficult to put into a movie. It's just so complex with so many different characters and doesn't really have any singular personalities strong enough to support a movie role.

Would be an interesting experiment though. Just please do not put those 3 annoying taru brats from COP into the movie lol
