Mime burn...
One mime dies, the others Mimic, the mob looks around curiously as 17 other players fall over...
I think this is very interesting, would have to be some limitation to it though. To better organize it:
[Job Ability]
Mimic Ability
LV.5 Mime

Mimics the most recent(or as an alternate option; One of the 3 most recent) Job Abilities performed by selected target.
[Job Ability]
Mimic Cast
LV.15 Mime
Duration: Instant Recast: 1:00
Mimics the most recent(or as an alternate option; One of the 3 most recent) Magic Spell performed by selected target.
[Job Ability]
Mimic Special
LV.30 Mime
Duration: Instant Recast: 2:00
Mimics the most recent(or as an alternate option; One of the 3 most recent) TP Abilities performed by selected target.
[Job Ability]
Mimic Pet
LV.50 Mime
Duration: 3:00 Recast: 10:00
Mimics the most recent(or as an alternate option; One of the 3 most recent) Pet summoned by selected target.
[Job Ability]
Impersonation
LV.1 Mime
Duration: 5:00 Recast: 2:00:00
Allows you to gain full benefit of selected target.
{Example}Say can use on an HNM such as Fafnir. Your Character will change into a MiniFafnir and you will gain full access to all of it's traits, abilities, and special attacks for 5 minutes.
This requires more thinking, but this is a rough idea of how the job "Mime" could be made. Please leave feedback or feel free to discuss how to alter these examples. Thanks!
Already thought of the idea of mimicking a monster. Trouble being than you mimick Shinryu and use his powers and everything get's out of whack.
That's why I think the Impersonation trait would have to apply to party members, activate their two-hour ability and skills.
A mime without something to mimic mimics nothing! o-o
And let's not forget mimicking the buffs or states of whatever you're targeting. It would need serious thought just to toss abilities out there..
Let's just ask them to change the game title to: Final Fantasy 11 Tactics.
All jobs in this game have originated from....EVERYOTHER FF game, because they were all generaly made by the same company.... the point is: everyone wants "Time Mage, geomancer" and now Mime, this is not FFT, these jobs won't even work in this type of game. and mime is espcially not going to work givin the factor of diffrent weapons that need to be used, unless you honestly think someone with a relic the mime is going to mimic, etc.
BLU is about as close to a "mimic" as you're going to get.
SIMPLE. :0 FIGHT UNARMED.
The attack speed and damage can mimic whatever is equipped, and if you mimic an enemy then you simply absorb their attacks. Give it a good timer for the ability and you'd be fighting on level with just about anything within your range of mimicry.
Mimicking a monster has a name, and it's BLU.
