Here are some ideas i had for FFXI, let me know what you think!
1) Abyssea-ToAU: SE has already tied abyssea to CoP, Zilart, & WoTG.....Why not make (A) arrapago, (A) halvung, (A) mamook?
2) GIVE SMN Bahamut & Pheonix & Fat Chocobo!!!!! idc if i have to 2 hour to use them like Odin and Alex.
3) Onion Knight as a job class.... This would be amazing. Model it after the OK from FFT: Can wear all/any gear but has no abilities or traits. Propose final Genkai/LB from 99-100. At lv 100, your job becomes "mastered" and unlocks quest for OK. The more jobs you have at 100, the stronger your OK gets. Crafts could tie in here, too, increasing the expertise of weapons/armor
from that field.
4) Homelands/Origins Storylines. Be able to quest/mission cut scenes unravelling more of Vana d'iels sordid history.
5) More misc /ja from FFT ie: sword saint techniques, shiradori, first strike
6) ..... Arithmaticks......... instead of time mage (somewhat redundant and semi-unfeasable) Give us arithmatician as a jobs class and make it a combination of other classic FF abilities like geomancy, mystic knight tech, oration, and astronomy. Possibly make its strengths balanced by the cycle of the moon phases - similar to how elemental magic is affected by matching day/weather.
7) MORE MOGGIE BAG SPACE! & make everything that is stackable- stack to 99?
8) A special abyssea bcnm where you have to fight Altana..... Make it similar to the goddess fight from crisis core. Would require at least 1 full alliance and maybe some primeval brews. Possibly trade kindred crests or high kindred crests to enter.
9) Classic ribbon that prevents all status ailments. Maybe as JSE for onion knight.
10) Group 3 merits or tier 2 jobs. I saw a post elsewhere on this forum about tier 2 jobs and i really like this idea. Specific combinations of 2 lv 99 jobs to unlock a new, more powerfull job class: whm+blm unlocks sage, rdm+smn unlocks time mage, war+pld unlocks viking, bst+smn unlocks beast king, nin+sam unlocks assassin, etc...
Group 3 merits would be nice for 99 and would help us keep from being bored.
Some ideas include: dual wield 2 handed weapons for war, astral emminence for smn, reduces perp. cost to 0, kidney shot for thf instant K.O., throat stab for nin, spirit blade for sam to unlocks the inner spirits of GK causing different effects, etc
