about. FFXIV Either they take this time to redesign the game or it is really becoming the first unsuccesful FF.
I hope they fix and take advantage of the great potential the game have, but knowing SE now a days.
I'll bet they are going to let the game die :s

XIII was actually quite successful -- I think what you're complaining about is a situation where they tried to bring Final Fantasy into the mainstream and all.

Yes sales wise they made a ton. It was the gameplay that a lot of people had a problem with (only completed 50% & had to stop). but all FF fans will always give their games a try & we just hope for future games they go back to a bit more traditional methods & slowly make the merge to a new gameplay style!!

I actually played it, and stopped cuz i hated it, then i went back like, 6 months later and played it all the way through and that game is just fricken hard man. If you really plan to master the game your looking at tons and tons and tons of hours, and for some of the trophies or achievements there are some really really annoyingly difficult monsters to kill even with an overpowered Paradigm setup and top notch lvled characters and lvl 100 ultimate weapons. It has a huge challenge factor, and if you just havent gone through it completely, then your really missing out. It may be by far the hardest FF that has hit shelves since....well i guess 12 had some rediculous Marks that were uber, so, i guess to say that 13 is really really hard compared to 12 is best i can do.

With regards to FFXIV I still think the PS3 version will be the last attempt to turn the game around. A new audience, and new excuse to re-market it.

I'm going to be the optimist and say will startup either tomorrow or next couple days. A lot of company's have started to resume business over past few days so here is hoping SE is one of them
