GM not Replaceing dropped items!

I dropped my Arka IV (Cure Potency +24%) by mistake. Called GM after GM and they will not replace my staff. It took me 6 months to get this staff and I dropped it by mistake. I am so upset being a member of this game since 2003 you would expect this wouldn't be a problem. The last GM I talked to said she would have a SGM contact me about my staff. This is exactly what she wrote to me.

"We cannot restore the item, it would not be a matter of trying. Please understand, though we would like to be able to recover the item, it would not be possible to recover it due to the data on the item which is not recoverable."

Which is complete stupid why not!.

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY STAFF BACK!

Likely because you cant restore an Item with Augments. They'd just be able to make an Arka IV poof in your inventory, complete with absolutely no Augments. Pretty simple concept I'm assuming.

You can get your staff back by making a new one, I know its a sad truth but... Just be really careful next time.

Also, Sorry this is a bit of a different attitude towards this, but 6 months? 6 MONTHS? it took me a combined total of 12 hours over the course of 2 weeks (Limited play time) to finish mine. and this was being lazy doing the Fairies... How in gods name did you take 6 months unless you were literally killing 1 mob a day and logging out?

I worked a lot at the time I made it, and had people holding the pixie mob and had to call a GM on that issue when making it... just seems like hell to do over and pissed cuz I did it already ... they should make Trial / Relic/Mythic and Empy weapons non droppable if you wanna get rid of it ... trade to moogle.

What a GM will or will not do is not a technical issue. Try contacting SE support via email.

A GM will only fix one drop in your entire gaming lifespan... don't waste it on a Trial staff, for the love of Christ.

Pick up a chatoyant staff, good enough. Make the Arka IV again if you insist.

Similar suggestions have been made a lot in the past, regarding a little more difficult items to obtain (relics and friends). I don't know why they have not shown any interest (or maybe there was some interest, I forget) in changing them so that you can only get rid of certain special items such as those by talking to a NPC, or something similar, since augmented items can indeed not be restored.

In all fairness, I would be glad that it was only an Arka IV. I don't mean to belittle your efforts, not at all, but if I were in the same situation, I would tell myself that it could be (a lot) worse. ^^;

The Technical Support forum unfortunately is more than likely unable to help you.
