    How do I disable the FFXI opening cinematic on PC?

    Hello! I've downloaded and installed the FFXI: UCSE version.

    Having an issue with the opening cinematic after I log onto POL.

    1. Log in to POL.
    2. Launch FFXI.
    3. Cinematic plays. Press ESC key or mouse-click on screen to cancel the movie.
    4. Game crashes and get logged out of POL.

    5. Log in to POL again.
    6. Launch FFXI.
    7. Cinematic plays. Press ESC key or mouse-click on screen to cancel the move.
    8. Game proceeds normally through launch.



    So the question is, How do I disable the FFXI opening cinematic on PC?

    load FFXI Config (in your start menu programs list). Forget which tab it was on, but there's a checkbox for it.

    Yeppers, you are correct.

    Start Menu > All Programs > PlayOnline > Final Fantasy > Final Fantasy XI Config

    P.S. This is where you also ENABLE the GAMEPAD for PC versions of FFXI.
