Maybe instead of combining jobs it could be done with crafts. This would make a lot more people craft, and maybe put some stuff on the AH.
50+ Woodworking + NIN
= Assassin
-Able to create its own tools on the fly (no need for tools), mastered their use (high fast cast), etc. Gains benefits from WW and 99NIN.

Cool new Job would be Wizard. NO not like WOW but you can morph into stronger animals ex: Werewolf, Dragon, Behemoth lol, Rhino, not only can you morph but you would have stronger spells than BLM. Spells: Meteor, Tsunami, Earthquake, Tidal Wave, Lava X, Hurricane etc and these spells would take up say your whole screen when u cast them lol. People can see them happening from across the map lol.
90 RDM, 95 SAM, 95 THF, 90 WAR, 95 BLM, 95 NIN, 90 SMN, 87COR, 91WHM, 77 BLU.**90 KANNAGI, 85 CALADBOLG, ALMACE IN THE MAKING**
Gladiator! I know they have in FFXIV but eh put it in FFXI. You can weild anytype of melee weapon, but can use Sword, Scythe, GA, and GS better than any. You have a merit ability where you can switch to tank job or melee job and can both dual wield or use a shield. Weaponskills are furious and can light up a night times sky.
Or even LEGEND job which is when you get to lvl 99 you can obtain this job and go back to lvl 1. When you go back to 1 what ever job you chose to obtain Legend status would now be that higher job and be named such as MNKLEGEND, SAMLEGEND, SMNLEGEND and so forth. Now these jobs you can get better spells, Summons, weaponskills etc.

The Tier II jobs would be designed to be better than the required Lv99 Job. It would consume the level but not the availability of that job, turning that job into a Lv1 in the list of jobs available from the Moogle. So if you are not satisfied with the Tier II job you could level the Tier I, but that's simply the price paid to attain that job.

Save a Chocobo ride a Galka!
PUP= Jester, Bst = Tamer, PLD= Divine Shield, Smn= YuGiOh(j/k) War= Breaker, Monk= Fighter, Whm= Healer/Watcher Blm= Necromancer, Rdm= Trickster, Nin= Assassin, Sam= Shogun, Thf= Brotherhood, Dnc= Stepmaster, Cor= omg omg Pirate, Ranger= Sharpshooter ....
...but isnt our job upgrade called "Artifact" and "empyreon" armor?
Aside from the name/conversion list I posted. I feel that a whole set of levels for the step up wouldn't be well-liked, having to level again and all. Perhaps a certain criteria should be reached, that simply switches your job's name to one of these. Like maxing out merits for the job plus whatever the new merit system will be for the 99 cap. And Maybe one set of armor or ability/spell for these classes to distinguish them further. This way, the game wouldn't become horribly unbalanced.
I'd like to level something new and wouldn't mind going to parties (not abyssea leech) and experience the game again with something new and refreshing, not only me but it's nice to see others learning their new abilities and finding out what they can do with it. If you simply change to the new job you wouldn't really experience that job, isn't that true?
I like the ideas people are coming up with, but haven't seen major ideas sprouts as the possibilities, job abilities, 2hrs, new contents.
I propose Tier II jobs, not necessary all jobs, but I do understand the difficulty and the fear of game imbalance. I'm simply curious of what people come up with, the possibilities. I want to see some creativity magic form!![]()
