    Currently, due to heavy server traffic, timeout or network errors may occur at the version check screen or during the version update. This screen appears when you log into FINAL FANTASY XI and a new version update is available.

    In case the version update fails or you are unable to log in, we ask that you please wait a while and then try again.

    As of Mar. 27, 2013 12:00 (PDT), we are continuing to experience heavy server traffic. Timeout or network errors may still occur at the version check screen or during the version update shown when you log into FINAL FANTASY XI.

    [NA] Congestion Relief for Version Update (Mar. 27)

    The congestion that occurred after the conclusion of the Mar. 27, 2013 maintenance on FINAL FANTASY XI has eased and the situation has stabilized. Players who were not able to log in or perform the version update are now able to do so.
