No 360 Copies at Gamestop for pre-orders

I preordered two 360 copies at Gamestop weeks ago. After I drove across town to pick them up today, I was shown an email that they got from corporate to tell customers that we would not be receiving our copies today and it was unknown when they'd be arriving. Just throwing this out there that you may want to call gamestop and see if your copy is there before making the trip just to be disappointed.

That has happened to me with them when Treasures came out too. They just ship the discs on the release date but the retailers don't always get them that same day.

Check Gamestops site says ONLINE ONLY and i asked in a few stores the last 3 weeks and all those stores said they didn't think they would carrying it!I ordered it online from them and it ships today and takes 3 to 5 days for delivery

SE should have been more on the ball than this, they should have had the physical discs ready and in the hands of the retailers a week ago so it could be in the hands of the users on the day it went live, I know several 360 users who pre-ordered this expansion from gamestop and were planning to pick it up today who are going to be furious about this, I don't blame them at all, this should have been handled better

Was told when I preordered that they would fill preorders in store, but any after that date would be online only.

I pre-ordered from the Gamestop I work at. It's been in our computers for 2-3 weeks now. My copy arrived this morning, in a single package. Only one the store got.

I have the same issue here in the states. This sucks because I got so worked up for it, was playing on the free trial of the laptop with plans of continuing on the account via 360. I pre-ordered it about a week ago. Checked today and the lady at the Gamestop said, "nope, chuck testa. There are no copies of it for anyone at her store. check online." I checked online and even Gamestop online said it was online only, but not even available online at the moment. So. where is the game at? I paid for it already, I thought I was gonna have a to myself and you Square, a day together.

BUT -

Square, whether it was your fault or not, I seriously didn't expect this from you after being so loyal with all your games for nearly all my life. I'm extremely disappointed and I'm not even sure I want to stick around anymore. There better be a sign sometime soon with some kind of info regarding my beloved franchise.

Pre-ordered from EB Games (GameStop Canada) via the online site, and it shipped as expected.

I guess with SE's own store having a backlog for 360 pre-orders also, that SE under-estimated the launch demand.
