Find a large, empty room with nice acoustics and move your computer there. That will make the profanities that you shout at your screen with the coming of each and every emergency maintenance sound far more epic.

hhahahhhahhahhahhahha so true.... sad face.... why cant SE do emergency maintenences more like Path of exile? their server maintenances are done in a matter of 20 seconds, because they have a fix for the issue BEFORE they take the sever down....

The official site says the evening of the 27th, PDT.

Remember, it's PDT right now, not PST.

"Midnight" would be the 28th. I would expect it before then.

well i took that time frame as i count on 99% of the JP playerbase being home from school/work, tho i know from the past (ToAU/WotG release) that the JP actually take days off to play the expansion, and take turns on leveling eachothers characters.
