Saw your tweet Rukki, I'm in a similar situation altough I'll be able to manage being a commuter. It's just 70 miles forth and 70miles back, bit more than 3 hours trip, could've been worse.

Those stats are too high. You need to make that fire resistance a latent effect of ice weather.

There are no good routes and back roads between the hours 0500 and 2000 Monday thru Friday. If you look at that DoT map they are all pretty muck colored black (impassable)
