SoA Starting zone?

I was thinking about getting back into the game for SoA to kill some time before the XIV relaunch. I was wondering if the new city in SoA will be a place that you can start up a fresh character and play through new low level zones. Anybody know? This would make me very happy. Thanks for reading.

Oh one more thing, are the new jobs something you can play right away or must they be unlocked?!

Odds are same deal as all advanced jobs, you'll still have to do job quest

Unless SE goes back on what they said of SoA it's going to be endgame zones only. I assume that would be 75-99 friendly monsters to give alternate leveling options for those who think EXPing in Abyssea cheapens the value of EXP.

This. It's much more likely to be closer to Al Zahbi than Bastok- RUN and GEO will be unlock jobs, and that means 30+ on another job to begin with. The usual GoV course will still apply, assuming you want the smoothest soloing experience.

Since the new expansion has a slew of new features, I would guess that you may have to venture out and kill nearby monsters in the areas for your influence. You may get "points" for your guild or something in that manners that you can trade for things once you rank up. They have to find a better way/reasons for people to go out and kill mob other than for xp since most can just fell cleave these in abyssea.
