FFXI 18+ options?

I would personally LOVE to see the next online FF game be more like Dissidia, where it combined characters and worlds of other single player FF games. I can just imagine running around in Midgar, Lindblum and Baron, getting Avalanche quests, and dealing with NPCs like Yuna or Zidane. I think a balance between the sci-fi/fantasy would work, along with a fun mix of job abilities and races. Plus from a marketing perspective it might draw in fans of the single player games who haven't tried the MMO thing yet.

There are a lot of ways they could tie the worlds together thematically, either by creating a new story or by borrowing Ex-Death's goal to "merge worlds" from FFV. I'm sure it is roughly ten more years away until we see another FF MMO though as XIV hasn't even gotten off the ground (or onto the PS3) yet.

18+ shouldn't be accessible period. Unless you're in your MH or the back room in WG. There are alot of young players I know a few myself. Either way there are alot of .DAT's online if you want the 18+ look.
Adult stuffs stays where adults keep it, in /tell or next to trail markings. Although I don't completely disagree on this idea, it would be unwise to include such material for the younger players or for players that could be easily offended (and by Altana there is alot of the latter).

On a separate note I believe Anne's comment holds some good basis. Maybe we should be wasting our attention trying to get a update so we can sit on chairs and such.... Rather then whining about the lack of pr0n.
Hell a few idle emotes or positions to stand in would be sweet.

I don't. I mean it wouldn't bother me if it was in the game, but I'm indifferent. I don't play the game for blood and guts or more 'mature' themes. I like it as is.

I don't think this would happen because FFXI just isn't the kind of overall environment for that kind of thing. And I prefer it that way.

Not that there isn't a time and place for that, but I just don't wanna see a Jeuno Red Light District.
