    Provenance Watcher/Arch Provenance Watcher

    Provenance Watcher could use some changes such as drops:


    Direct Drop Only
    Adamas (9.7%)
    Plenitas Virga (65.7%)
    Sanus Ensis (59.6%)
    Drachenhorn (9.1%)
    Hyaline Hat (6.3%)
    Tessera Saio (??)
    Fortune Stone (69.5%)

    Ammo
    lv99 Fortune Stone
    Augment:Red alignment+ 30~50

    lv99 Fortune Stone
    Augment:Yellow alignment+10~25

    lv99 Fortune Stone
    Augment:Green alignment+10~25

    Forune Stone in loot can have a random augment such as +10/15/25 or +30/40/50.

    Arch Provenance Watcher
    (Has 50,000 more HP)
    (Can do 25% more damage)
    (Can do 100% more damage after 50%)
    (Fight will require everyone lv15 x3 atmas upgraded)
    (Only 2 Abjurations can drop at a given time)
    (Entry will require Provenance Watcher dead)
    (After 50% all his attacks 1,400~3,300)
    (-50% damage taken is required)
    (Earth Crystal Fetters will add -50% damage taken on boss)
    (Can summon 2 Adds after 99%/40% that will last 5mins and despawn)

    Or they could just increase provenance watcher's ridiculous drop rates to a reasonable amount.

    Why not just give 'Arch' PW a melee attack that does 9,999 damage on each and every hit.

    Cause that's basically what you just suggested. We "Zerg" it down because it's offensive power is stupidly ridiculously high like most of that era NMs.

    You didn't make it harder, you made it near impossible. VW mobs are already stupid overpowered, the only difference being that we have near infinite fanatic's drinks. You take that away, and these mobs easily trump even Absolute Virtue in terms of raw power.

    If you want the playerbase to stop resorting to niche tactics to win (and SE obviously does since they're nerfing tactics like alexander and embrava), then you need to pull back on the reins a bit and make the shit tankable.

    Area of Effect attacks, which could kill Tarutaru melee even in -50% DT equipment, and drops that are primarily second-best or total junk? A one sentence long explanation when people say its a ridiculous idea?

    Are you sure you don't already work on the FFXI Development Team?

    This idea is broken in so many ways. Really, lets just change all of the current drops from PW to match those, in fact, change everything about PW to match that, except the buffs to him. Then, it sounds great! Also, Arch-NMs are NMs which are revamped from level 75 content, an Arch-Provenance Watcher would be out of place in this line of NMs.

    Also what the hell are with these numbers? Full Alliance of people for 3 mini-fights and 1 actual fight for a chance of some decent/second rate gear that you give some random ass numbers to and can only be gotten from direct drops, not even from the personal drops everyone gets!?

    If anything it should be...

    That way people are not wasting their time joining. Right now PW shouts are worthless, I have not even seen 1 on my server in a month because its stupid to do. The good pieces have such low drop rates, then on top of that the fact you have to out lot people on it in hopes of actually getting it. Its just going back to the biggest problem people have with VW, its drop rates. The average shout group for PW I have been in takes about 3 hours from the start of shouting to gather, about 2 hours after that we finally get to fight PW, and often, its a fail. Even when we win, I have never gotten the Hyaline Hat, the only drop from the NM I even want right now. I have killed PW probably 5~6 times, I have joined at least 14 I can recall.

    Attack increased by 100% are you on drugs? Thats not even "Hard" thats just suicide and a waste of time completely. I mean its already annoying enough to have to do the 3 damn fights every time you want to do PW, and it is far more of a time sync then the other VW NM's but to make it so there is a version that is stupid kinds of ridiculous? Ya.... Pass, just increase the damn drop rate if you're going to do anything to P.W, and if not that at least make it so the damn petrifacts necissary to enter can just be key items instead of temp items.

    Why don't they just add a wall in Jeuno or Whitegate that our characters can bash their heads against repeatedly until they're K.O.ed?
