    Display driver stopped responding

    Hi guys!

I recently came back to FFXI after 6 years, and started fresh.

I'm enjoying the game again, but my computer, however, seems to be having issues. I'm recieving this frequent error:

"Terminated as error occured in FINAL FANTASY XI. An Error has occured. (Error Code: FFXI-9001) (-1)"

My computer will also pop up saying "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

"Display driver NVIDIA Window Kernel Mode Driver Version 310.90 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

This seems to only occur in this game, as my computer runs Team Fortress 2, World of Warcraft and Battlefield 3 on high settings with no issues. I run FFXI on low settings in Windowed mode.

The error occured 3 times. twice during level up animation, and another when I cast Benediction.

    Things I did:
*Check Driver (12/29/12 - most recent)
    *Clean case inside out
    *Curse

I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti as my graphics card. It's new and has no issues until now.

This is a common issue with newer Nvidia cards. In the ffxi config there is an option you can check called graphic stabilization. Also turning off shadows and weather effects from inside the game menu seems to limit the number of crashes you see.
