A Mod? I guess that's what some people call custom games. It ruined custom games, every other game was DoTA this, DoTA that, omgDoTA, DoTA is for fags. Seriously, the custom game's listing got ridiculous at times.

Yes it was a Map MOD, it also changed the gameplay. I would indeed call that a mod.

I've seen a lot of people asking what others are doing during the downtime.

Well I came across a throw back game and I'm loving it. It's a Strat Type game that reminds me of the old Civilization games and the old World of Warcraft games from many years ago.

I figured until FFXI comes around it would be nice to see FFXI players dominate another game out there

I've just been finishing off some games I've been neglecting. Finally got to finish off the new Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded and am now working on Pokemon Black. I've neglected so many games for FFXI XD

Oh, and I've also been on Second Life a lot doing fund raisers for the Japan relief effort. Made over $350 USD so far!

I was actually signing up for Second Life and tried it out but I don't think my laptop can handle the game properly. I was in the introduction phase and I managed to get up to the flying board introduction but then after that nothing really loaded for me and took forever to load so I just shut it down and gave up on it. I want to make money too...

Play it on Nightmare mode then, that's why there are difficulty levels.

Did that. Only helps a bit though. It is as if you increase the difficultly of the game & they also make you stronger to compensate for the tougher mobs. Oh well off to the next game. Any suggestions for PS3 or Xbox 360? would love to play something with FFXI players.

i am unable to play 95% of the games on PS as I have a MAC. Great computer just does not like alot of apps lol. But hey I still get to play Civilization ^^

I don't know what games you haven't played or if you're looking for single player or multi player experiences but.

For PS3:
Star Ocean The Last Hope International Edition (RPG)
Demon Souls (RPG)
Valkryia Chronicles (RPG/Advanced Wars RTS-ish)
White Knight Chronicles (RPG that has an online mode where you can use your custom character from the single player game in as well [level and all], the story isn't great and the voice acting is horrible but the online mode is pretty good, you can even build your own town)
Infamous (Hero/Anti-Hero Open World [city] game)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Only if you've played the first 3 so you can fully appreciate this masterpiece)

For Xbox I suggest:
Red Dead Redemption and the Undead Nightmare Expansion
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (best racing game in years if you ask me)
Bulletstorm (They don't make enough FPS games like this anymore)
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (Most original multiplayer in years not to mention the spectacular storyline [though i suggest playing through the first 2 to catch up on the story if you haven't already])
Left 4 Dead 2 (If you really enjoy slaughtering mass amounts of zombies or would enjoy playing as a special zombie with unique abilities to kill human controlled survivors).
Splinter Cell Conviction (Stealth game, extremely polished and has multiplayer missions and modes)
