A PvP I thought of while sitting here on the forums

I think this would be fun and I am going to give it a crack when the servers come back online in Brennar.

4v4 Chess

1 person from each team is the "King" (or queen for the ladies) and are restricted to the small areas on the opposite sides of the map.

Goal of the other 3x players in the team is to protect the "king" and kill the other team's "King".

The players that aren't the king can be killed, however if they are, they have to return to camp and wait 5 mins before moving.

First team to kill the "king" wins.

2hr abilities are restricted. (So no Chainspell nukes or Ninja Kamikaze runs).

I am going to give it a crack. Think it would be fun as an LS event.

sort of a nice idea, but I can guarantee you no one's going to enjoy sitting around for "5 min" before they can do something.

Well 5mins may be too long. But the general concept is there.. I am going to give it a crack.

I wish I could try something like this, but even getting one person to do anything PvP related is like asking someone to give you all their gil and quit on Odin. Getting 7 other people would be like asking a random LS to hand you a relic weapon for playing the same mmo... It just won't happen sadly.

Ask your current social LS (if you're in one), I am sure a few of them would be keen to give it a crack.

Trust me, I ask everyone in my LS and on my friends list to PvP me almost every single day. Hell I've offered people in my LS 1 mil to 1v1 me if they win, and they don't need to pay anything if they lose. The most common reply is "I've seen your youtube videos, I won't stand a chance." it's freakin' annoying.

A lot of people would do things PvP related.

This sounds like it could be neat, Atlantica Online has a turn based system, its 30 seconds per turn.
