You're missing my point, the skillups with Bloodpacts i was gained with the physical gain food was much greater than after when in wore off.

The thing is you're missing "THE" point, not "my" point.
If you legitimately play smn, you like smn, you use smn... you're going to blood: pact things and skill, at an almost decent pace.
If you have smn, don't really main smn, but need to skill up smn... you DON'T generally blood: pact things. I know this may be a hard concept to grasp... but read between the lines.
Summoning skill has to be the hardest thing to skill, just in sheer time wasted, let's assume you get a skill up every 5th blood: pact, that's about a .1 every 2 minutes... Do you want to spend 20 minutes per 1 skill level? (approximate).
I think that it's a little too slow to be realistic, 20 minutes of casting the spell won't even (generally) get you a single .1
(though I say again, it was important 6 months ago when mules were on smn, to shock squall... now it's 100% irrelevant basically). It's a dead horse argument. There's only one guy in the entire world of FFXI that is probably bringing SMN to current content. and I'm certain his(her?) skill is capped out.
Summoning Magic is not so hard to skill if you do it right. Capped mine from around 85 to 99 one weekend just using Martial Mastery Latent. If that's not available (or you want a stronger effect), there is skill up prowess in GoV. We also now have skilllup enhancent via SoA full time with Ionis.
A little research can go a long way for skilling up.

Yes I got your point, nobody likes sitting outside grinding the skill to get nothing.
I am NOT against what you are saying. I am with you.
My comment was for anyone looking in that thread for advice that might appear about skill up, since that is part of the concern of your topic. Guess I should have been a little clear with that.
I was receiving .4 and .5 skill ups quite frequently (along with .1,.2, and .3s) and didn't really die away (the 4s and 5s) until the last 5-7 levels worth of skill.
I'm done with this now.
If only they had never prevented skillups in WoE, I imagine I would have not had any issue with needing to skill up in the first place >< Got about 15 of my 75>99 levels in there whilst it was skillup free ><
