    Quest Arrow, Missions arrow for new players.

    I think its about time they develop some sort of arrow pointing for each event?

    I would more of less like something that was more clear on the goals of quests and missions, perhaps not arrows though, they tend to be annoying and distracting. Perhaps instead, have a box in the mission/quest summery where it tells you the actual current goal. For instance, I am on 'Dancers in Distress' for WotG. It says...

    Alexei Mayakov is displeased
    with his two dancers, Lilisette
    and Portia, who are suspected
    to have once again skipped
    rehearsal to attend Sir Ragelise
    at Chateau d'Oraguille.

    Now, under that it would be nice if it also had a box which said...

    Goto Lion Springs Tavern in
    Southern San d'Oria [S] for
    this plot reason.

    and once you complete that part it would say...

    Speak to Raustigne in Southern
    San d'Oria [S] for this reason.

    Then missions would be spelt out in a way that players could easily tell what needs done for them.

    I would like an arrow due to because they have done that in Final fantasy XIV.

    At that point, you may as well put ! marks over everyone's head if they have a quest available. Call me old-fashioned, but I -like- having to actually explore...and quest markers tend to make the game even more narrow and linear than it already is.

    That is part of why I said to put it in the mission log, also so its not a constant UI distraction, but rather a convenient tool to use at your digression so there is no chance of it simply being an annoyance. Also the mission log would take much less work by SE I'm sure.

    I admit that the logs usually don't give you any direct directions on what to do next, but adding an arrow addition would make this game a joke. Plus theirs the fact that you can (and do) end up with 20+ plus quests activated at the same time.

    Also the lack of hand holding on what to do next should encourage ppl to actually talk and cooperate with other players. Since it is a mMorpg after all. Its that kind of cooperation that bread things like wiki and gamer escape. (Granted a small portion might not have access.)

    Adding an 'arrow pointer' would make this game seem more childish then WoW....

    If that's the case I rather have a option too turn it on and off, This is the only game I have to look on a 3rd party website to get the stuff done lol
    I'm not saying it has to be an arrow something like Guild wars 2.

    All of my money for this. The whole game would be 100X better without the constant need to have wiki open in the background.

    I don't see it happening It's gonna take a year or so to remap everything from quests and missions, since the game is dieing out slowly and painfully lol (They can always add new content for new players tho doing that)

    The general theme so far seems to be that XI gets UI tweaks and the like only after they've trickled-down through XIV first. So maybe our quest/mission logs can become more robust after ARR gets released...
