Bastok 2-3, not getting credit

Hello!

I'm currently working on Bastok mission 2-3, The Emissary. I've gone to San'D first, and have talked to the folks in town (Helvar, I think the name was). Right now in my mission log, it tells me to go to the top of Ghelsba and kill Warchief Vatgit.

I've done that. 5 times or more.

Every time when I return to the person in town that sent me up there, he just stares at me blankly and asks why I haven't performed his task. Every time after I kill Vatgit, I don't get the title that I've read I'm supposed to get, and the mission log doesn't progress at all.

I've tried a GM about 3 times in different ways, but they happily tell me to 'Ask other players!!'. I've read all the sites I can come up with, searched google 50 times, and here I am.

Help!

PS: Is support in FFXIV any better, from those that have experienced both?

And to make things clear. You've talked to Baraka, then Helaku, then Halver. Then you killed Warchief Vatgit and then you went to talk to Helaku again?

I'm pretty sure Halver also told you to go back to your consulate after you've done that task. You work for Bastok, not San d'Oria, after all

According to the game script on ffxiclopedia, he does indeed say so.

"Halver: When you've finished, if you aren't Orc fodder, report back to your own consulate. We don't take kindly to foreingers loitering around the chateau, if you get my meaning. "

Halver is also a massive racist and I want to stab his filthy elvaan face at least three times with each of my daggers.

Well if that's it, I feel pretty silly. I should probably find a GM and apologize to them.

It's easy to miss when you spam enter and then get a lot of combat spam. I guess that's why people decided to include it on the wiki.
