Does the +5 moglification effect from Buche Des Etoiles stack with the culinary stall (total of +10) or is it one or other?

I don't think Buche Des Etoiles gives Moglification - or if it does it's aura strength is less than the Brass Crockpot (Cooking Skill +1).

I have both in my Mog House and the Brass Crockpot wins out every time.

Moglification effects don't stack to my knowledge. I believe it's whichever one you have with the highest aura takes effect.

Yes, I agree there is next to nothing for information on this furnishing. I have a mule with nothing for furniture so I will send it to him to at least find out what the mogenhancement is on it for you. As for it's strength I'll will have to play around with furniture that has documented values on it to kind of guess where it's at. Give me a little bit and I will have that information for you.

Okay, the Buche Des Etoiles by itself with nothing else in the mog house placed, does give Mega Moglification: Cooking. The fact that the Brass Crockpot overwrites means that Buche Des Etoiles has a low wind aura strength. This means it is easily overridden. Which kinda stinks because the Brass Crockpot only gives you the Moghancement: Cooking which is Cooking Skill +1.

So I placed a Butterfly Cage into the mog house with it. It's documented on the wiki as having an aura strength of 4. The cage overwrites the Buche Des Etoiles and gives you Mogenhancement: Wind, regardless of which furniture item is placed first.

Next I took the cage out and placed a Wicker Box, documented to have an aura strength of 2, in with the Buche Des Etoiles. The Buche Des Etoiles overwrites the Wicker Box regardless of which one is placed first. I think it's safe to assume that the Buche Des Etoiles has an aura strength of 3.

This means if you want to use the Buche Des Etoiles to get the Mega Moglification: Cooking you will need your mog house to have wind power and all the furniture with wind power will need to have an aura strength of 1 or 2 to make sure it doesn't overwrite the Buche Des Etoiles. Meaning you don't have a lot of options.

Back to your original question though. Furniture effects do not stack. The mog house only reads what element has the highest influence and then only reads the furniture with the strongest arua of that element.

On the bright side, by having the cooking stall your mog house is free to have more furniture options without overwriting the Mega Moglification: Cooking effect.
