    Crafting is helluva expensive

    especially for new player
especially with supply demand mechanism in guild merchant

so unless you have a supporting gathering, its expensive

I'd suggest fishing and selling moat carp 10k/stack on AH to fund a craft. Very easy and fast money for a new player

In general crafting is supposed to cost a pretty penny, but the other side is when you've finally maxed it out you can start crafting things that sell well to make your money back and then some.

actually.. not all crafts are expensive... and if you have patience you can often farm 70%+ of all the materials needed. Crafts like cooking are especially cheap. The most expensive would likely be goldsmithing and smithing

As I stand looking out from my mog house window, I reminisce about the old days and the many ups and downs of my adventures throughout Vana'diel.

It is then that I know achievement.

Which craft> You're not going to hit 110 in anything cheaply, but getting 20 or so skill isn't at all hard for a beginning player, and there's profit-a-plenty if have the wit to find it.
