    Level Locking suggestion

    Hello!

    Today i'm going to discuss my idea on a level locking dungeon or challenges based at areas around Vana'diel. Honestly I miss level cap's and I thought they were quite challenging and i think introducing this somewhere during the time of the game would invigorate the game-play a little bit at all levels and would perhaps invite new players in. You have a vast variety of gear, spells, merits, rewards, jobs, and monsters at your disposal; so creating challenges based on what your level is should finally be able to take place!

    Look at all the gear and spells we have in the game now! and all of it requires doing a certain task to get it! Ranging from killing a simple rarab in the fields of Sarutabaruta; to killing some unknown beast of horrors in many of the Magically, evilly infested, and natural corners of our beloved Vana'diel. To even trading cards!

    You receive the benefits of merits at level 10 of any job so having to pick and choose between merits at any scale requires people to Still get xp for merit points for a customized load out at every level cap. This would also encourage choosing unprefereable merits in peoples classes as depending on the scenario might require certain combinations I know doing tasks as i'm gearing up in the actual endgame stuff i collect a lot of merits and i know some people who are caped on merits and have caped their merit point pool also, so collecting merits is an easy task at least from my perspective..

    With augment's and evoliths, you can do so much more with them! you could create evoliths and augments that specifically go to specific gear and give them as rewards for winning the fights!! for example a Seer's pumps would certainly be an augment-able armor while Chestnut sabots have the option of both evoliths and/or augments. Figuring out the combination that works for you is half the fun! This would also give you the chance to expand the evolith and augment system to all of the items in the game, allowing us to customize our endgame armor even further. Not only that it would also bring items once undesireable back into preference or at least some moderate use

    With so many jobs, and so many abilities and job specific traits they have at our disposal it shouldn't be hard to create a 6 man party oriented scenarios, that depend on the skill of the players to defeat the monster/monsters at hand whatever that scenario be from balancing the party out to doing as much damage as possible! To outlasting a specific event like poison filling the fighting zone that's killing both you and the monster at the same time while your fighting!

    And finally we have monsters...... Not much to say on that. I'll leave you to do what you do best.... but do it right!


    If this isn't possible due to hardware problems I would like to suggest you just shelf this idea and work on it when the opportunity arrives?
