    Strange logging-in error.

    I had recently reactivated my character and after doing the updates I get ready to dive right into the game but when it reaches the blue screen about accepting the rules and policies I get an error saying PlayOnline has stopped working and closes out the program.

    I noticed they have a maintenance for the accounts page but I don't know if this problem is from that or if this is something else entirely.

    Any suggestions?

    I have the same problem with my laptop with Windows 7. Just started a few days ago and I didn't change anything.

    By the sound of your description you probably need the most recent version of the PlayOnline viewer. You can download it from our website free. http://dl.square-enix.co.jp/polus/setup.exe
    Once installed, this should alleviate the problem you're describing.
