Missing Conquest Point +1/+2 recipes: What happened?

Basically, Bastok/Sandy/Windy all have items that can be bought from rank 1-10.

Up to about rank 5-6, many of these can also be improved via crafting, with an NQ and HQ upgrade.

After that? Pfft, upgrades peter out. Even the non Rare/Ex pieces seemingly can't be improved- and even in some lower ranks, there's cases where a piece can't be improved.

Why not? Most ranks 5+ have at least one non EX item that begs for an upgrade recipe, like the L30 Paisley scarf.

Adding in the higher-rank CP item recipes would give folks some new (and potentially effective) items to craft, and if some of those items were high enough crafting levels, a good reason to build up a stock of Conquest Points to give yourself more options to skill up on/make useful HQ's.

I think it is more the case that people level so ridiculously fast these days its not worth their while in creating all this new gear for lower levels

As I stand looking out from my mog house window, I reminisce about the old days and the many ups and downs of my adventures throughout Vana'diel.

It is then that I know achievement.

It'd also give folks more bridge recipes for crafting at higher levels, too.

The current top-of-the-list upgrade recipes are in the 60's or so. You could reasonably put rank 9 gear in the 100ish range, which would act both as a massive Conquest Point sink and fill in some of the truly painfully hideously expensive gaps in that range as well, though I'm sure it'd mean that such items would go for a mint.

Bastok's rank 9's would do for Goldsmithing (Rod) and Smithing (everything else, though you could do alchemy as well, including the Rank 7 GTK).

San d'Oria's would do for woodworking (the lance) and smithing. Again, you could also use them as a high rank alchemy to give them an "Additional Effect" buff as well.

Windurst's work for woodworking (bow, pole), goldsmithing (baghnaks) and alchemy (knife).

Rank 7-8 gear could easily be spread around the L75-90 crafting levels, which again- fills in plenty of gaps without much significant effort. In addition, if Rank 9 (and other EX) gear was changed from Rare/Ex to simply Rare, it'd go even further and give you more options for stuff like Clothcraft and Leathercraft (scarves, mantles, etc.).

Yeah, I know. It's all about the L99 gear, blah blah blah. It'd be nice to see folks have a reason to be carry Conquest gear around again, even if it's only now and then as they level up- and give them an expanded use to the crafter as well.

(And heck, put in upgrades for the R10 Aketon too. You know people would snag them.)
