    Reinstallation and game download

I have left the game, but I kept my account info somewhere else. I come back and I can't play now on my main, even though I have re-subscribed the account, which has access to expansions.

OK, on Blizzard, you can login and if you lost your game disks, NP, you can download installer and reinstall the game to the level that your account was at, via expansion.

WHY doesn't FFXI have this? Yes I started the game close to when it did, and now I can't play because I don't have the exp installed, anymore, umm, what about people who move, don't bring like 5 boxes of game disks with them, but come back to the game? IS SE so in dept that they can't allow people with their SE account and POL account and active expansions, can't download them and have to pay to like buy the game again?

so, you install, it shows with your account, you already entered your regristation code, so it is still there in your account, and yeah, if I am on Lich king, I can download that via account NP from the Blizzard site to return to play WoW... the same is NOT the same for FFXI
I have like 5 exps, and I paid to resubscribe, and the say "you can't access expansion pack areas because they are not installed" umm, how about they look at the account and install what is active already on that account, what if I moved, do you really think I am going to bring like 5 or 8 freaking disk boxes just in case I want to reinstall and play the game?

and yeah, if I moved, sure, the game boxes from like 2004 I don't usually put in my plan of things to bring with me
I retrieved my account because I remember my ID, I had my password reset, but no, I dont have any of the regristration account, though when I did add it to my SE account it said like 4 exp were active on the account

But we can't re-download them, not even on new comps, and yeah sorry SE, but people do change comps and don't usually like having to hold onto large boxes just to install the game, when the registration code is already there on the account.

How about, with POL, have it check the account for what is there, and then download it before the game can play, not everyone keeps disks from 2004, is what I am saying, when I moved, I was more concerned about bring along my book shelf then my computer game disks. So yeah, I do remember my ID and yeah I got all that back, almost, but I can't login to my main character because the expansion isn't installed.

It always bugged me how long it took to install and update, and if you weren't there to click, ok, and then go to the next update, you still had to wait. Even with very old disks, it takes forever, and you can't update until you pay, so in a way, you pay for an account, it takes you two days or so to update in order to play, especially the old disks, and last time I played was 2009, I hate to wait to see the length of the updates from then.

At least offer decent updated downloads for returning player. Yes I do have a plan to buy the exp, ultimate for the addons and suchs, but I can't even login to my main character because I don't have it installed..

POL SHOULD check the ID, see what is needed, and install it, simple as that.

And you wonder why you are loosing money. I am tempted to go to other games, because I DON"T have to find another source (like a torrent) and I don't have to spend days updating from 3 or 5 year old disks, even if I still had them. It's freakin stupid!!

WoW is "PC" only. Downloading expansions may not be a viable option for PS2 and/or Xbox 360 players.

I was mentioning that because Blizzard HAS a lot of players and knows how to take care of them, and yeah, I'm sure if WoW was open to PS and Xbox they can get online and download via account. I was listing that as an example because not everyone holds on to disks to install from like 8 years ago,

Lives change, people move, and "just in case-should I bring ALL my game discs with me in case I randomly decide to play again after 4 fours, or should I use that limited space for food for the cat." Yeah I'm all a gamer girl and suchs, but in all honesty, the space it would've taken to haul my old disks was actually used for things more productive in my life at that moment. And I believe it was about 6 novels I read over and over instead of the FFXI and all the exp installation disks.

Seriously, I was asking SE why not have download options for people who already have verified accounts and codes. I wasn't saying "oh please someone give me a complaint about how I mentioned how the WoW account and downloads work, you're just posting to troll and I have an an actual and literate question
