If nobody has mentioned it yet, the augmented Dark Rings from Abyssea-Konschat are a very large and entirely free source of -DT%. You'll be gaining merits and key items while you try for the rings, and you can sell all the sub-par rings for a very decent amount of gil.

They're good for any idle or OH NO! set from the moment they're obtained until eternity, on any job.

I did forget about those rings. I won't say it's a must have but you can some good mileage out of having 2 of those rings on. +2 to all stats is nice (on the low side) and if you get lucky/keep farming and get the rings with -6 pdt/mdt on them that will help damage mitigation greatly. Also the 32k a pop they sell for is incentive enough to try for at least one.

When you get a 6% PDT/ 6% MDT/ 6%Breath damage taken, life is pretty great. Not D ring great, but pretty much as good as it gets.

A week later and you choose to counter-attack, 4 days before Christmas, while they may have attacked you, your post isnt contributing either and is only serving to fuel the flames. I still think a gear guide for various jobs (particularly rdm) would be a nice thing to make, but thats such a huge undertaking that i wouldnt know where to start.

Agreed, i was thinking either using one of the existing community sites, or another all together, basically a list of gear even in a scaling manner from say 75 to 99 which work well for X function and in comparison between the two.
