What do you think? Should it be reworked, improved or even taken out completely?
What do you think of the creativity of a well known character from 'this' and other versions of the past?

IMO, I think it should be reworked and improved on. No creativity what-so-ever on Cait Sith. She/he is mystical like Carbuncle and needs 'alil more glow, some special effects and positioning. Like 95% of the time we've all know Cait Sith in FFxi, she and he would be floating, upside down, right-side up and sideways...

Why... What would the story behind Cait Sith be that someone so devine would soop to walk around like a pet(or lend his/her power to) for summoners?

Let Square Enix hear your voice. Don't let FFxi be of the same level of 'other' MMOs. /discuss

Tell me though, as cool as she acts from time to time in cutscnees, what use would there be in her walking upsidedown or on all fours or whatever?

Honestly, i could care less what she looks like as long as she does something remotely useful.

You're missing Alhanelem's point.

The model has already existed for a long time. There was no need for any new creativity since the Avatar is already a pre-existing thing that has been around for a very long time.

All the relevant creativity was put into the game when Cait Sith was originally put into the game. Thus there isn't a lack of creativity unless you want to argue her original implementation was uncreative. That's really all there is to it.

They aren't going to and don't really need to reinvent the wheel.
