    Increases Movement Speed Inside Cities (ignore boring slow run for quests)

    Hello again ~

    Today while I am doing some quests in Windrust , I use THF/BLM for Flee & Warp to make my quest done fast , And useing Fajin boots 18% of movement speed , still I lost over 20 min (used flee 4 times) just to done 1 quest , run slow to do the quest made me feel boring and even feel dislike to continue do the quest.

    Can make every Nation/City thats not Allowed to Attack to increases movement speed from Nothing into 24%?


    we just want to walk faster in city since nothing to do inside Cities except Quests and Bazzar , and make ppl move fast only inside the city , but outside is not allow.

    If you can please put each city as Aura ~ because you are in city you , you can run increases movement speed to 24%

    its also help to run fast from Mog house to AH or to craft place w/o wasting time by
    run slow , even if there movement speed got increases , I don't believe is there any Negative problem will happen.

    what you think guys?

    Considering there are already large amounts of movement gear (including gear specifically for nations) I doubt they would do this, although it would be nice if they gave a slight increase overall to move speed in all areas.

    This. I would rather they increase the default movement speed of both monsters and PCs by 25-50%. If you increase the monster's movement speed as well, I don't think there's any problems as far as concerns to people using kiting tactics and whatnot.

    Yes there would be, and the problem is... You're not wasting more time getting to said place which leads to less playing a Square Enix game so there for; The longer you play the more they get paid! ^^

    I did say slight... 25-50 percent is a tad more than slight lol :P Even a 10% increase to both mobs and npcs is better than nothing

    This, but tie it to Conquest results. Either tie it to ranking, like first place nation gets 24% bonus aura, and second place gets a 12% bonus aura. Alternatively, tie it to how many areas a nation controls. Perhaps this can be tied to having Signet if it is a problem.

    Kinda crazy, but increasing everything's speed across the board would be an interesting proposal to test.

    The only problem I can see is that characters that are resting, casting, or otherwise not moving will be caught up with much faster, meaning that some timings and such would be messed up. Battlefield of X size could have been designed that way so you can rest while the monster runs to you, and this would be much harder with faster mobs. Of course, this could in turn be addressed by buffing hHP and hMP gear.

    I think you're exaggerating. Windurst has a lot of empty roads making it needlessly large, but if a quest takes 20 minutes, it's mostly because of cutscenes etc.

    Global increased movement speed means more out-of-range weaponskills and it'll be harder to avoid agro from wandering mobs. There are also more then a few missions and quests where it would pose a problem.

    There would be a difference. lets say you are kiting a monster and it got close to you and started casting a spell. Normally you would be unable to outrun the spell because it casts to fast, but with increased movement speed you would be able to. The opposite is true too. Say you are able to get off a blizzard V with fast cast gear on a mob before it reaches you now. With increased movement speed the mob will be in your face and kicking your butt before the spell even goes off. There are tons of other examples but I think you get it. Increasing the movement speed will effect every aspect of the game that involves some sort of yalm distance/AoE range(and probably more). It is not as simple as it seems.
