    Having trouble with GM calls.

    Edit: Just realised that this is probably the wrong section for this thread... Apologies!

    I bought FF11 on Steam a while back and I'm sure most of you probably remember the bug surrounding the Destrier Beret code registration. That was a while ago now, the bug has apparently been fixed, but I still don't have my beret. I raised a ticket with Square Enix support and they told me to contact a GM in-game, but I don't seem to be able to get through to anyone.

    I first tried on Monday. Called a GM, played for a little while, no response. Logged back in yesterday and saw a message there saying that I was offline when a GM was available. So I sent another call request. I played for a good three or so hours, but the same thing happened - no response, and I got a message this morning saying that I was offline when a GM was ready to help and to send another request.

    Now, I can see this going round and round in circles. I don't think a GM will ever be "available" to help me at this rate. So is there something else I can do to get my beret? Or at least be able to talk to a GM?

    Indeed you have reached the improper outlet for assistance on this matter. But you do have it right in that a Game Master will be the one to take a look into this issue for you. You will first want to ensure that the Destrier Beret code was attached to your Square Enix ID and that you selected the right PlayOnline ID in that account. You should be able to talk to the Festive Moogle in town and grab the item if everything worked correctly but failing that you'll simply need to go through the petition queue for them to look further into your character and account. Just in case you may want to include as much information as possible in your /helpdesk message so that you can be responded to appropriately.

    I did register the code correctly and it is attached to the right account. The Festive Moogle won't give me anything. I registered the code months ago, back when this issue was around:

    ...So I never got my beret as it was hit by the same bug.

    I have included as much information as I possibly can in the /helpdesk message every time I send it, but a GM never gets back to me. How many hours do I need to play in one sitting before a GM is available? I've sent two /helpdesk messages and I played for three or four hours each time. Can't we just contact GMs through POL messages and save all the aggro?
