    Abysea timers fail

Ill make this brief, I loose internet connection because of a service fault, I have logged back in and given 5 seconds to exit the zone, this is impossible because it takes 10 seconds ish for the game to load up fully. Now i have a 1 hour ban in aby for somehting not my fault. In the past if your internet failed you logged back in exactly the same as before with no buffs.

If this is a new thing you done to the game it would have been nice to let us know and if its a technical fault please let us know.

And would be ever so nice if you gave my stones back. I dont control the internet so it seems unfair to punish us if we have a fail.

    Thankyou.

You have 5 minutes to request time upon zoning into Abyssea, if you don't get visitant status before that expires you get thrown out and have to wait 1 hour to get back in.

If you go past the clone ward at base camp without first obtaining visitant status, it starts a 5 second countdown to warp you back to base camp. This doesn't throw you out, it shoots you back to camp so you can get visitant status.

If you leave Abyssea with less than 5 minutes remaining of your visitant status, then you will suffer that 1 hour penalty before you are allowed to enter again.

In order to save your remaining visitant time, you have to exit Abyssea cleanly--either by maw or other in-game variation of teleport/warp/homepoint process. Exiting via a disconnect does NOT save your time, and it continues to tick down towards zero until you reconnect and save your time by one of those methods. This is a known scenario, and is more or less working as intended (presumably to prevent people from exploiting a forced-disconnect scenario for saving time, ie: camping timed pops by simply pulling/plugging in your cable and logging in in time to catch next repop).

So, if you indeed were thrown out within 5 seconds after you got back in after a forced disconnect after you obtained visitant status (or prior to it and in that initial 5 minute countdown), it was likely because your time continued ticking down while you were off-line because you didn't get a clean exit/save from abyssea due to your lost connection.

Thank you for your detailed explanation of this process RAIST, helpful as always. frydanny, if you're seeing yourself become disconnected frequently, you may want to check out your connection settings to see if there is anything you can do to either open some of the ports on your router/modem or directly connect to your modem to bypass anything which may be blocking your connection to some of the zones. If you're still encountering connection issues I'd ask that you give our tech support line a call so that they can help you out with some troubleshooting and get these hiccups managed a bit.
