Hello Shadek,
In order for the GM Team to assist you further, you will need to contact our Support Center first. They will be able to verify the use of the Code. Please be aware, you can only get one Beret per account, so if you created a secondary character and wish for that character to have a Beret, it will not be possible.
After you contact the Support Center, they will let the GM Team know whether or not you are able to get a beret and the GM team will then reach out and contact you.
You can reach the Support Center via this URL: http://support.na.square-enix.com At the site, you cick on FINAL FANTASY XI then Contact. From there you will find the means to contact our Support Center.
Thank you and we hope to get this sorted out for you quickly.

I'm sorry to bump this thread, I recently registered my code for the beret out of haste under a character which I later deleted because I wanted to play on another server with some friends.
Will my beret be waiting for me with the moogle on my new character after I had already registered the code under another deleted character?

BunkA >> Hello there!
The short answer to your question is no, I am afraid. The Beret is available only to your first character you have created. The good news is that we do offer a free Character Restore service. If you visit your Support Center at http://support.na.square-enix.com you can start this process. We cannot guarantee which items will be restored, or if the data can be restored, but it never hurts to try. Also, depending on when your first character was deleted, the process may be delayed as the process is not instant.
We also have a Character Transfer Service which is available to all of our customers. This service does have a fee and cool down period, but that is another option for you if you are seeking a more populated world.
I hope this addresses your concerns.
Thank you,
SGM Jhanaka
SGM Jhanaka, with all do respect from my understanding your info is incorrect. Why?, I have multiple characters on the same account with that hat on them. I think you meant to say that the code only works once on the first character you use it for. This means you could use the code on other characters inside your account if you got new codes.
I bought extra downloaded packages and used the codes on mules on the same account. I think the other part of this answer amounts to "once a code is used it can't be used again" IE once you delete the character with the hat registered to it the same code won't work on the new character.
I don't understand why SE limited this hat so bad that the codes don't effect the hole account like the mog satchel. from my understanding that's the gist of how it was setup and working as intended.
My suggestion to the second poster, character restores are VERY VERY VERY limited unless that one time policy was changed you shouldn't waste it on this hat. The amazon.com sells the online download for about $10 sometimes on weekends and it includes these fresh codes. Unless you really want this character back be careful using a restore because they are often one time lifetime restores.Items Ordered 1 of: Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition [Download]
