As far as it being like a beast master and blue mage, it's original enough to not make either job useless. Look at scholar, it's a mix of WHM and BLM, with nifty additional things, making neither of the jobs it diverges from useless, as said. That is what this would be like, in a sense.

I like the idea, and would definitely level this job.
