Current effect of this item is it randomly changes your MH music when you enter. Would it be possible for it to be changed so that it can be interacted with and the music selected much like the tome in legion for selecting the zone BGM?

Agreed.

Perhaps it could remain more simple even, by simply rotating the tunes instead of random selection (meaning it would play the next tune in order when placing it/entering the room).

Would be even better if we could switch the tunes with completely different ones, but I don't imagine that can happen...

With the current update allowing you to change it by choice this is good however I can not find the NPC/object (Symphonic Curator) anywhere despite having spinet placed in my MH. (Looked for them inside and outside my MH in all zones of my home nation with no luck)

Does anyone know where I can find this NPC or if it was even added?

Im not certain, but maybe it requires having the new Orchestrion item in your mog first?

System-related

• Players can now change the background music of their Mog Houses by furnishing them with an Orchestrion.
  • Music selections can be made via the Symphonic Curator that appears to the side of one's Mog House's entryway after placing an Orchestrion.
  • Possible music selections depend upon the sheet music key items in one's possession.
    Orchestrions only come equipped with the sheet music for Mog House and Vana'diel March.
  • Should their Mog House be furnished with a Spinet, players may also choose music from it via the Symphonic Curator.
  • Any background music alterations made in this manner are also audible to PCs who are invited to a player's Mog House.
