While your correct, they said there would be a way to obtain them outside of how we did so far. Also keep in mind, we currently only have Sword & Scythe, so depending on how else they would be released would have a depending factor for it. Its kinda like if before Dyna, they gave out 500 free base relic weapons for "all jobs", but the base weapons aren't all to great, its the ones at the end that really matter. As for the current Ark weapons, while they are nice, the only one of any real use is the Scythe, past that its just another costume item. While I like costume items, I would still like to see them become something that is functional within actually playing the game in combat, which is where these would be awesome, just... some need toned down a bit, like that sword.

Yer, they did say they would like to give them out in other means as well. I'm thinking of another badly planned/implemented give-away where single characters obtain multiple prizes and others can't participate with multiple characters. ^^;

I would also have preferred them to introduce the weapons as perhaps rewards from Divine Might II or so, with some actual use. With that said, I doubt the scythe actually being useful was in their mind at all, it just so happens there is something there to use it for, or so I think.

Especially due to the fact that they already implemented two of them as costume items, I can't see them implementing them as items with actual use, but that's me!

I agree, not probable, just a nice idea to explore is all. Also I know the Scythe wasn't really meant to be useful, doubt they had that kinda foresight back when the Ark Angels were thought up, but is thankfully.
