Fishing Question

So I just came back to the game over 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to get back into my fishing craft but I noticed there's talk of a new fishing cap (or maybe it's old I don't know) but apparently I can fish 200 fish a day as long as I've been playing over 2 weeks after first log-in and as long as one job level is 20? I don't know if that's right at all so please correct me if I'm wrong. However if I'm right, then why does my level 8 RDM have a fishing cap of 10 when my BLM is level 30. Any input would be much appreciated thank you!

I believe you have to be at least level 20 at the time of fishing (not simply have it somewhere in the status list). ^^

The job you fish on has to be at least level 20+.. if its 19 or lower you will get to your 10th catch and not be able to catch any more fish for the day... So fish on your blm not rdm (until rdm is 20+)

It is also correct a character also needs to be at least 2 weeks old in order to catch more than 10 fish

As long as a character meets these 2 criteria you should be able to catch ABOUT 200 (it can be a tad less, depends what you are catching). Happy fishing!
