Idea to fix blue mage procing in voidwatch

    I got it.

Who here typically uses magical blue mage spells consistently? The only one I can think of is charged whisker.

All the procing spells for blue mage are magical.

How about this: Make all magical spells for blue mage available without being set, but if you want the bonus or the traits of the spells, then you have to set them specifically. Failing that, just make all magical spell available during voidwatch.

This is a perfect and easy fix for blue mage proc spells in voidwatch. I doubt this will overballance anything because people will still prefer to use physical spells over magical spells. And, SE, if you're still worried about balance, you can gimp the magical blue mage spells if they're not specifically set.

If you like this idea be sure to "like" this post and respond vehemently.

idk about this. I wouldn't mind to see it implemented, though unlikely.

doing this would make blu able to do more dmg in VW but not break it. The magic spells you have to use are so slow and useless anyway. Only thing blu really does is use weak ass proc spells that do no dmg with no points available to do other things. BLM etc on the other hand have access to all their spells and can use tons of dmg spells if they choose as well

sounds good in theory....never gonna happen. I propose limiting our spells to 1 per element so we can set all of them. Even if all 8 elements were 5 point spells that's only 40 points.

Doing so would have the exact same effect as it did in Abyssea.

Implement a JA that allows the use of any spell in our list once, and have a lower recast timer on it. That shouldn't be extremely game breaking. It doesn't fully help the situation but I don't see SE allowing BLU to access all their magical spells whenever, even if gimped.

A pretty good idea actually, but if it's just to address the issue of VW, but not this job in general, I only see waste of resource here.

The BLU proc in VW isn't zomg terrible big problem, majority of the proc jobs are skippable, and VW is more about output and stuns than proc(not saying proc isn't important, but you only really need a few key jobs to cover it), and 1 min cool down isn't the difference between wipe or win. Most of the time it only extend your fighting time by a small amount every 50 fight or something, unless the pt doesn't have enough output. I have no idea why everyone and their mother complained about BLU proc in VW when you usually need like 1~2 proc to win in a pt with good output.
