New Anniversary Event Idea

Okay since it looks like they are getting rid of the Lottery because of Canadian Law I am here to suggest a new event. Instead of a lottery why not just let everyone on all servers pick one item they want and give it to them? Use the lists like the lottery and once a year everyone gets one thing they want. Only real exception should be gil. If they tie it to 1 pick per SE account and restricting items to R/E should eliminate the worries about people abusing it with 1 super item per 5000 mules. This will also mean that people who want 1 thing can get it once per year. To me that does not seem unreasonable. Call it the Grand Moogle Giveaway or something. Yea I know people are gonna hate on this idea cause they do not like things given away, but I say if you do not like it you do not have to use it. And 1 item of choice once a year will not break game balance as they add so much stuff in a calendar year. Even picking a relic or mythic or empy weapon would not be bad cause it takes less then a year to make any of them (with the exception of a Mythic.) and so just waiting for the event would be less efficient then working for the goal but would give everyone a chance to once a year get that one shiny they wanted all year but were unable to get. Just my two cents.

Terrible idea. 0/10. Endgame revolves around building these weapons and getting these pieces of gear, if everyone got what they wanted, it would kill the game and people would get bored. Almost all of endgame revolves around mythic/relic economy. People level craft skills, farm dynamis, farm legion etc all to make gil to acquire currency/alexandrites to get this stuff.

How in the world would 1 item per person once a year kill the game and make it boring? To get all the relics alone would be 16 years! That is not even counting the Mythics or Empys or other gear like Nyzul Voidwatch or Legion. All this would be is a reward for the countless people who play and pay their subscription fees each year. And before you say "Well the will make 30 mules and have 30 items" they just leave the pool of items to things that cannot be traded or mailed and WAM you got it that fixed. What it boils down to is that the people with everything or that have easy access to it get it and people like me who work 40-60 hours a week and do not have the time get squat. How about actually letting us have a shiny once a year?
